Final Stats

One day after a dramatic victory over Wright State, Miami's men's swimming and diving team fell to Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio on Saturday afternoon, 156-132. Senior Kelly Ball (Granger, IN/Penn) and sophomore Peter Donohue (Cincinnati, OH/Turpin) each won two races for the RedHawks.

Ball touched the wall first in the 200-yard IM and the 500-yard freestyle with times of 1:56.92 and 4:40.53, respectively. Ball took the first victory by only a second and won the distance event by six seconds.

In diving, Donohue continued his two-month unbeaten streak in the one-meter event by setting a pool record for points in 351.36. Donohue also took the three-meter event by scoring 269.92.

Sophomore John Grubb (Centerville, OH/Centerville) also won a race for Miami as he beat the next Kenyon racer by over a tenth of a second with a time of 0:48.69 in the 100-yard freestyle.

The RedHawks have a weekend off before facing rivals, Ohio University at home on Friday, Jan. 31.
