Before Miami: Started career at University of Alabama ... posted best times at Southeastern Conference championships in 50-yard freestyle (:21.53), 100-yard butterfly (:51.26) and 200-yard butterfly (1:52.34), earning top 25 finishes in the fly events, during sophomore year ... also swam 200 fly at SEC championships freshman year ... transferred to University of Louisville for 2006-07 season ... earned 11th place finish in 200 fly (1:51.65) at Big East championships ... was named to Louisville Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
High School: All-state each of his four years ... 10 district titles ... 16-time All-American ... two-time team MVP.
