OXFORD, Ohio -- Following a pair of ties with CCHA upstart Ferris State, Miami kept its hold onto the No. 1 ranking in all three major polls for the sixth straight week on Monday. The RedHawks sit atop USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Top 15 for the seventh straight week, while headlining the USCHO.com Top 20 and Inside College Hockey Ratings for the sixth consecutive week.
Miami earned 31 of 34 first-place votes in the USA Today/Hockey Magazine poll and 42 of 50 in the USCHO.com poll.
The top 14 teams are the same in both polls with North Dakota and Denver immediately behind the RedHawks. The Fighting Sioux and Pioneers meet this weekend in Denver. UMass-Lowell and Cornell round out the top five.
Six CCHA teams are listed with Michigan State (sixth), Alaska (10th), Nebraska Omaha (12th), Notre Dame (14th) and Michigan (16th in the USCHO.com poll) joining Miami.
