OXFORD, Ohio -- With a weekend sweep at Northern Michigan, Miami increased its standing as the consensus No. 1 team in the country Monday. For the third straight week, the RedHawks sit atop the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine, USCHO.com and Inside College Hockey Ratings.
Miami earned 29 of 34 first-place votes in the USA Today/Hockey Magazine poll and 41 of 46 in the USCHO.com poll.
North Dakota and Denver alternate the Nos. 2 and 3 spots, while this week's opponent, Michigan, is No. 4 in both rankings.
