OXFORD - After sweeping its third series in a row, Miami is now the No. 1 team in the nation. This is the first time since January 30, 2006 that the RedHawks have been in the top spot for the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men's College Hockey Poll.
Thanks to a 6-0 record, Miami received 506 points and 30-of-34 first-place votes to overtake the University of North Dakota for top billing in the poll.
The RedHawks travel to Marquette, Michigan Nov. 2-3 for a match up with the Wildcats of Northern Michigan.
