The RedHawks posted a school record 33 wins a season ago and are looking to ride that momentum into the 2008-09 season. Miami features a tough schedule with home games against CCHA rivals Ohio State, Alaska, Ferris State, Michigan, Michigan State, Bowling Green and Northern Michigan. Non-conference opponents Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Ryerson.

Since the 2005-06 season no NCAA division I Hockey team has posted more wins (83) or a better winning percentage (71.1 percent) than Coach Rico Blasi's RedHawks. Miami led the nation last season in team offense, team defense and the penalty kill.

Miami will open the doors of Steve Cady Arena for the 2008-09 schedule on October 4 for an exhibition game against Ryerson. The regular season begins in Oxford October 11, for the second game of a home-and-home series with Ohio State.
