OXFORD, Ohio - Bryan Vines a former defenseman for the University of Denver will severe as a volunteer assistant coach for the RedHawks staff for the 2008-09 season.

Vines spent five seasons at from 1997-2002 playing in 155 games for the Pioneers recording five goals and 28 assists. After leaving the University of Denver, Vines spent two seasons in the minors playing for the San Diego Gulls and the Long Beach Ice Dogs in 2002-03 and in 2003-04 playing for the Idaho Steelheads as well as second stints with the Ice Dogs and Gulls. Vines has spent the last several years working with the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League (NHL) as the video coordinator.
