Former Miami RedHawk Nino Musitelli has signed with the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL for the 2008-09 season.

"It feels great to get into the ECHL and to have this opportunity," Musitelli told the Dayton Daily News. "I'm happy to play in Dayton. Plus, it's close to my alma mater."

The forward from Macomb, Michigan played four years at Miami and was a member of the last year's RedHawk team which was ranked No. 1 in the country for 10 weeks and wound up with a 33-6-1 record. Career-wise, Musitelli scored 21 goals and had 37 assists for 58 points.

Dayton opens the season against Cincinnati on Oct. 18.
