OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami ISP Sports Network and CBTS have combined to offer sponsors of Miami Athletics a "Day at the Ballpark," as sponsors will be able to enjoy the Cincinnati Bell Technology Pavilion at one of two Cincinnati Reds games while also hearing one of Miami's coaches speak about their program.

The Cincinnati Bell Technology Pavilion is located in center field at Great American Ball Park and offers fans a great view of the game while enjoying complimentary food and drinks. Miami head baseball coach Dan Simonds will be in attendance to speak about his 2011 squad on July 31 when the Reds host the Atlanta Braves at 4:10 p.m. RedHawks head hockey coach Enrico Blasi was scheduled to appear at the August 15 game when the Reds battle the Florida Marlins at 1:10 p.m., but due to a scheduling conflict he will be unable to attend. Assistant coach Nick Petraglia, who was promoted to that roll this spring after serving as director of hockey operations at Miami for the past three years, will instead discuss the upcoming season. Associate head men's basketball coach Jermaine Henderson will also be on hand for the August 15 game to discuss the men's basketball program.

"I look forward to a great day of baseball at GABP. I think it's great that we're able to have an event like this at such a nice venue," Simonds said. "We return nearly our entire 2010 team in 2011 and I have big expectations for the upcoming season. I'm excited to share our vision for the future of Miami baseball."

Coach Blasi echoed Simonds' sentiments.

"Coming off back-to-back Frozen Fours there is obviously a lot of excitement around the program and this event is a great way to share with some of our sponsors the direction Miami Hockey is headed," Blasi said. "Unfortunately, a family function will not allow me to attend."

Both dates for the "Day at the Ballpark" sold out in two days, as all 100 tickets for each game were quickly requested by sponsors. The Miami ISP Sports Network and CBTS, who started their partnership in 2008-09, plan to offer the same event next year after seeing how much interest there was in the event and how rapidly tickets sold out in its first year being offered. The two partners hope to make a "Day at the Ballpark" an annual event and will limit pre-guest ticket requests in the future.

"The ISP Sports Network here at Miami does a lot of great things for us and these two events are no exception," said Steve Baker, Assistant Athletics Director/Director of Broadcasting at Miami and the "Voice of the RedHawks." "During the upcoming 2010-11 school year we will once again provide radio coverage for all football, men's and women's basketball and hockey games, as well as television coverage of RedHawk football, hockey, and men's and women's basketball. In addition, fans can look for enhanced coverage of RedHawk athletics through a new video streaming platform that will be announced this week for our video webcasts as part of our Miami All-Access Subscription Package."
