Frisco, Texas - The North American Hockey League announced Wednesday that Fairbanks Ice Dogs goaltender Cody Reichard has been named Most Valuable Player and Goaltender of the Year.

Reichard, from Celina, Ohio, posted a 33-15-2 record in the regular season to compliment a 2.05 goals-against average and a.935 save percentage. His 33 wins led the entire NAHL, as did his seven shutouts.

"Cody is what junior hockey is all about," said Ice Dogs coach-GM Rob Proffitt. "He works harder than anyone I've ever coached. I wouldn't trade him for any player in any league in North America."

Behind the 21-year-old Reichard, who has committed to Miami University (CCHA) for next season, the Ice Dogs also advanced to the South Division finals of the Robertson Cup Playoffs.
