OXFORD, Ohio -- The Miami Hockey program added two players to its roster on Wednesday, signing current Indiana Ice players Bryon Paulazzo and Blake Coleman to National Letters-of-Intent spring signing period.

Paulazzo, a 6-1, 187-pound forward, has played 59 games for the Ice in 2009-10. He leads the team in both scoring (54 points) and assists (33), while recording a team-best +22 rating. Paulazzo has converted 15.6 percent of his 135 attempts on goal and has tallied five power-play goals.

The Redwood City, Calif., native joined Indiana this season after two years with the Topeka Roadrunners of the North American Hockey League. There, he totalled 27 goals and 58 assists (85 points) in 93 career games.

"Bryon is a kid with good size and a great hockey sense of awareness," Assistant Coach Brent Brekke said. "He is very strong with the puck and is pretty well-rounded. With three years of juniors under his belt, he will also bring in more leadership qualities and maturity than most freshmen."

Coleman is a 5-11 forward from Plano, Texas. He played with two different USHL teams this season, starting the year with the Tri-City Storm before moving to the Ice in January. In 58 games combined, he tallied 10 goals and 18 assists for 28 points, including eight goals and eight assists with Indiana.

"Blake is a powerful skater who has a physical presence on the ice," Brekke said. "He has good skills and can put the puck in the net. He is a tough player to play against."

Miami has a history of adding Indiana players to its lineup. In November, another pair of Ice skaters signed letters-of-intent -- Max Cook and Alex Wideman. The foursome will join current RedHawks Cody Reichard, Cameron Schilling, Joe Hartman and Garrett Kennedy as Ice alumni.
