DETROIT, Mich. -- Miami sophomore Cody Reichard was named Second-Team West All-America by the American Hockey Coaches Association Friday night as part of the NCAA Men's Division I Frozen Four Awards Ceremony.

The CCHA Player of the Year, Reichard is the national leader in goals-against average (1.87) and winning percentage (.788/19-4-3), while ranking ninth in save percentage at .921. In conference play, Reichard was 15-0-2 with a 1.23 GAA.

This marks the third straight year -- and sixth in the last seven -- that Miami has had at least one All-America selection.

Only one player -- Erik Gustafsson of Northern Michigan -- was a repeat selection from 2008-09. Only nine of the 24 selections are seniors, with nine being juniors and the other six are sophomores.

Denver led the way with three West first-team selections, while New Hampshire had a first-team pick and two second-teamers.

The AHCA/Reebok All-American Ice Hockey Teams are sponsored by Reebok, an international leader in hockey equipment, and chosen by members of the American Hockey Coaches Association.
