Was invited to the United States National Junior Evaluation Camp in the summer of 2009... picked in the 2009 NHL Amateur Entry Draft (Ottawa/4th round).

2010-11
Named second-team All-CCHA...played in all 39 games on the season, the second season in a row he has not missed a contest...tallied 23 points (3 goals, 20 assists), the highest of any RedHawk defender...scored all three goals on the power play (Nov. 13 vs. Alaska, Jan. 22 vs. Michigan State and March 11 vs. Alaska)...had three multi-point games (Jan. 14 vs. Bowling Green, Jan. 22 vs. Michigan State and Feb. 25 vs. Lake Superior State)...was +4 against Northern Michigan (Oct. 23) and against Lake Superior State (Feb. 25) and earned an overall rating of +8...fired 64 shots, the second-most of any defender...recorded 33 blocked shots, fourth on the team...earned 16 penalties for 32 minutes.

2009-10
One of six RedHawks to play in all 44 games... assisted on the Miami's first goal of the NCAA Tournament vs. Alabama-Huntsville... tallied 22 points on five goals and 17 assists... blocked 39 shots, third most among RedHawks... tied a career-high with three points (one goal and two assists) against Bowling Green (Feb. 13)... had a goal the night before against the Falcons, helping him earn CCHA Defenseman of the Week honors... had four multi-point games on the year... recorded his first career goal on Oct. 31 against Northern Michigan, which came on the power play... recorded a goal and an assist against both Ferris State (1/16) and Western Michigan (1/29) and had two assists vs. Ferris State in the CCHA third-place game March 20... scored his first career short-handed goal against the Falcons Feb. 13... registered the game-winning goal Jan. 29 vs. WMU, his first collegiate game-winner... finished with a +17 rating.

2008-09
A First-Team All-CCHA Rookie Team selection... named CCHA Defenseman of the Week (Dec. 8) and CCHA Rookie of the Week (Oct. 8) during the campaign... did not score goal, but led the team with 26 assists... had at least one helper on 20 occasions... totalled four assists in his first two appearances as a RedHawk (Oct. 10-11)... recorded a career-high three points against Western Michigan (Dec. 7)... credited with an assist on the game-winner against Minnesota-Duluth (March 28)... registered 68 shots... led the team with a plus-11 rating... totalled 24 penalties for 56 minutes.

Prior to Miami
Played 53 games for the Cedar Rapid Rough Riders in 2007-08... scored two goals and handed out 10 assists to post a 12-point season... registered 51 penalty minutes... played in one playoff game... a member of the USA Select 17 team... also selected to the 2007 US Under-18 Select team... helped his USA Under-17 team win the Four Nations Championship in 2006.
