2001-02 Played in all 36 games for the Red and White, playing as both a forward and as a defensemen … second among Miami defensemen with six points on two goals and four helpers … was +2 in 5-2 victory at Clarkson on October 20 … recorded two assists in weekend sweep at Ferris State on October 26-27 … registered his first multiple-goal game of his career when he scored twice in a 5-2 Miami win at Bowling Green on November 10.
2000-01: One of six Miami players to play in all 38 games ... led defensemen with a +7 for the season ... ranked third among defensemen with six points off a goal and five assists ... tallied two assists in weekend sweep of nationally ranked Western Michigan (Feb. 2-3) ... netted lone goal in Miami’s 3-0 blanking of Ohio State on March 2 ... assisted on Mike Glumac’s overtime game-winning goal at Alaska-Fairbanks (Feb. 17) ... one of just three Miami defensemen to tally a goal on the season ... attempted 50 shots on the season to lead Miami’s defensemen.
1999-2000: Was third among Miami defensemen in scoring with eight points on three goals and five assists ... played in 31 games to earn his first letter ... made his collegiate debut at the season-opener at Western Michigan and recorded his first collegiate assist in the 3-3 tie (Oct. 8) ... scored his first collegiate goal at Notre Dame in a 5-2 Miami loss (Oct. 28) ... returned the next game to score another goal and help the RedHawks to a 2-2 tie (Oct. 29) ... suffered a second-degree sprain of his medial collateral ligament during Miami’s 2-4 loss to Lake Superior and missed five games ... at the time was Miami’s second highest scoring defenseman and and was +3 ... posted his final goal of the season in Miami’s 6-2 loss to Michigan State in the first round of CCHA Playoffs ... finished -1 plus/minus. HONORS & AWARDS: Team’s Outstanding Defensive Player.
Prior to Miami: Played for the North Iowa Huskies of the United States Hockey League (now the Cedar Rapids Roughriders) ... led the team and was 10th in the USHL in points by a defenseman with 30 (11g, 19a) ... was the team captain ... played in the USHL All-Star Game ... participated in the Four Nations Tournament in Lake Placid, N.Y. ... also earned four letters in golf and two in tennis for Shattuck St. Mary’s Prep (Faribault, M.N.).
