Beginning his sixth season at Miami University is assistant athletic director Josh Fenton, who was promoted to his current post in April of 2007. After spending his first two seasons in Oxford as a volunteer assistant coach, he assumed the role of director of hockey operations prior to the 2004-05 season. The native of Litchfield, Minn. takes over as sport administrator for the Miami field hockey, ice hockey and golf teams and will play a vital role in the development of marketing strategies, alumni development and game-day operations.
Fenton also has experience in the National Hockey League as he was hired by the San Jose Sharks during the 2004 Stanley Cup Playoffs to serve as the team's video coordinator. With the Sharks, he was responsible for in-game video breakdown along with postgame video analysis, while assisting with the development of scouting reports.
Prior to assuming his position at Miami, Fenton had been employed by Accenture, a world-wide management consulting firm.
He received his master's degree in sport behavior and performance from Miami in 2004.
Fenton resides in Oxford with his wife Lindsay, who works at Miami as Director of Ice Skating.
