LA QUINTA, Calif. – Former Miami University men’s golf standout Brad Adamonis (’96) shot a final round 70 Monday to finish at six-under par in the grueling six-round PGA Tour Qualifying School Tournament. That earns him full-time status on the Nationwide Tour in 2012.

Adamonis was previously a member of the Nationwide Tour from 2002-04 and again from 2006-07. A ninth place finish in the 2007 PGA Tour Qualifying School Tournament earned him membership on the PGA Tour, status which he held through 2009.

The top-25 finishers, plus ties (a total of 27 golfers this year), earned status on the PGA Tour. The next 50, including Adamonis, earned full-time status on the Nationwide Tour. The rest of the finishers earned conditional status on the Nationwide Tour.

Adamonis was an All-MAC selection in 1996, helping the Red and White to a Mid-American Conference title and an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Central Regional that advanced them to the NCAA Finals. He is one of only two former Miami golfers to have earned a PGA Tour card. Bob Lohr became the first to qualify for the PGA Tour in 1983.
