NASHPORT, Ohio--Miami University's men's golf team had two individuals earn Mid-American Conference postseason honors, the league office announced following the MAC Championships. Junior Ben Wood and freshman Nathan Sutherland both were named to the All-MAC Second Team.
Sutherland led the RedHawks in six tournaments this season, recording two second-place finishes. He finished among the top 25 in nine regular-season tournaments. He played in every tournament during his freshman campaign, producing an average of 74.12 over 33 rounds prior to the MAC Championships.
Wood led the RedHawks in four tournaments this season and was named MAC Co-Golfer of the Week following a third-place tie at the Hoosier Invitational. Wood finished among the top 25 eight times during the regular-season, including three top-five finishes. Heading into the MAC Championships, Wood amassed a team-leading 74.09 average over 33 rounds.
Wood and Sutherland become the first RedHawks to garner all-league honors since Matt Thomas in 2006.
