In its next to last tournament before the Mid-American Conference Championship, Miami University's golf team heads to State College, Pa., to compete in the Rutherford Intercollegiate April 19-20.

The RedHawks lineup with consist of juniors Ben Bastel, Aaron Crist, and Ben Wood and freshmen Michael Drobnick and Nathan Sutherland. In addition to Miami the 12-team tournament field includes: Akron, Ball State, Binghamton, Bowling Green, Francis Marion, Hartford, Ohio, Penn State, Richmond, St. Bonaventure and Wright State.

This is the 32nd playing of the Rutherford Intercollegiate. Miami participated in the event in 2006 and tied for fourth place with tournament host Penn State.

In the RedHawks' last outing at the UK Bluegrass Invitational, the team finished sixth among a 17-team field. Freshman Nathan Sutherland and junior Ben Wood led the RedHawks finishing among the top 25. Sutherland finished 17th, his fifth top finish for the RedHawks this season, while Wood tied for 24th place.

Following the Rutherford Intercollegiate, Miami will compete in the FirstEnergy Intercollegiate April 26 before heading to the MAC Championships in Nashport, Ohio, May 2-4.
