Miami University's men's golf team heads south to compete in the University of Kentucky Bluegrass Invitational in Lexington, Ky., April 13-14.
Miami's lineup will consist of juniors Ben Bastel, Ben Wood and Mark Robinson, and freshmen Michael Drobnick and Nathan Sutherland. In addition to Miami, the 17-team tournament includes: Akron, Austin Peay, Ball State, Central Florida, Cincinnati, Dayton, Eastern Kentucky, Kentucky, Morehead State, Murray State, Ohio, Samford, Toledo, Western Carolina and Western Kentucky.
The RedHawks are coming off a ninth-place tie among the 17-team field at the Marshall Invitational last week. Miami shot 288 in the first round, then 297 in the second to finish 17-over par 585 and tie Ball State for ninth place. Poor weather conditions have shortened play to 36 holes for the RedHawks in their last two tournament appearances at the Hoosier Invitational and Marshall Invitational.
