Golf Team in Fourth Place After Two Rounds at Johnny Owens

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- After the first two rounds of the Johnny Owens Invitational, Miami University's golf team is in fourth place, shooting 309-298=607. The RedHawks sit seven strokes behind third place Indiana and 10 strokes behind team leader Vanderbilt.

Junior Mark Weghorst shot 77-71=148 to finish at four-over par and land in a sixth-place tie to pace the RedHawks and is only three strokes behind the individual leader, Indiana's Heath Peters. Sophomore Brent Kriegshauser is five-over par 149 to tie for 10th place, while freshman Ryan Swelin sits two strokes behind Kriegshauser in a tie for 20th place.

The RedHawks round out their stint at the Johnny Owens Invitational in Sunday's final round.
