Miami University's golf team finished in second place among the 18-team field at the Hoosier Invitational in Bloomington, Ind., with three players finishing among the top 12. Play was suspended just a few holes into the third round of the on Sunday. The round was eventually cancelled due to poor weather conditions, making Saturday's 36-hole standings serve as the final results.

Junior Ben Wood tied for third place after shooting 67-77, while junior Ben Bastel and freshman Michael Drobnick finished among the top 12.

Wood opened with a first-round low score of 67, before firing a 77 in the second round for a two over par total of 144. Wood finished five shots behind Eastern Kentucky's Jessie Massie for individual first-place honors. Bastel fired rounds of 69 and 77 to tie for ninth place, while Drobnick went 73-74 in the first two rounds to tie for 12th place.

The RedHawks collectively shot 282 in the first round, which put Miami in first place by 13 shots. Miami shot 302 in the second round for a two-round total of 584, placing the RedHawks in second place behind Eastern Kentucky. The Colonels fired a tournament low 278 in round two to give Eastern Kentucky a two-round total of 582.

The RedHawks return to action when they play in the Marshall Invitational April 4-5.
