Miami University's golf team sits in second place following two rounds of the Hoosier Invite. Junior Ben Wood is in a tie for third place after shooting 67-77, while junior Ben Bastel and freshman Michael Drobnick also rank among the top 12.
Wood opened with a first-round low score of 67, before firing a 77 in the second round for a two over par total of 144. Wood sits five shots behind Eastern Kentucky's Jessie Massie for individual first-place honors. Bastel fired rounds of 69 and 77, while Drobnick went 73-74 in the first two rounds.
After the first round, the RedHawks collectively shot 282, which put Miami in first place by 13 shots. Miami shot 302 in round two for a two round total of 584, placing the RedHawks in second place behind Eastern Kentucky after the Colonels fired a tournament low 278 in round two to give Eastern Kentucky a two-round total of 582.
The RedHawks play the third and final round on Sunday, March 30.
