PINEHURST, N.C.--Junior Ben Wood fired a 71 Monday's second round as Miami University's men's golf team moved up one spot into 15th place at the three-day, 54-hole Pinehurst Intercollegiate in Pinehurst, N.C.
Wood catapulted himself into a tie for 11th place at five-over par 149 and sits five strokes behind tournament leader Seth Brandon (Indiana). Freshman Nathan Sutherland is tied for 48th place at 11-over par 155, while junior Ben Bastel is tied for 67th place at 14-over par 159. Junior Mark Robinson is one stroke behind Bastel in a tie for 75th place, and freshman Michael Drobnick is in 93rd place at 23-over par 167.
Miami finished its stint at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate with Tuesday's final round.
