Adam Pry joins the Miami Golf Program this year as the team's volunteer graduate assistant. After completing his undergraduate degree in May 2004, Pry spent last year as an assistant coach at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Ga., assisting with both the men's and women's programs. With the Stormy Petrels, Pry help the men's team to a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Championship, marking the program's fifth-consecutive top-10 finish at the national championships, while the women's team showed marked improvement over its inaugural season.
During his undergraduate career, Pry was a four-year member of the men's golf team, which won North Coast Athletic Conference Championships in 2002, '03 and '04 and advanced to the NCAA Championships all four years. Ohio Wesleyan finished among the nation's top 15 all four years, boasting a 14th-place finish in 2001, seventh-place finishes in 2002 and 2004 and a third-place finish in 2003.
As a senior, Pry served as team co-captain. The Bishops went on to win five team titles, earned eight individual medalist honors and compiled a stellar year-long record of 72-2 in regional competition. Individually, Pry earned medalist honors at The University of LaVerne Invitational. He placed sixth at the 2004 North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament, earning all-conference honors.
Pry earned his bachelor's degree in sports management from Ohio Wesleyan in 2004 and is pursuing his master's degree in sports studies at Miami University.
