Miami vs. Bowling Green

With the victory, Miami halted its longest losing skid in three years at two games. The RedHawks are now 4-3
overall, 2-1 in the MAC East and 3-2 MAC overall. Miami is now 15-2 at home versus MAC opponents since Oct. 5,
1996.
Bowling Green dropped to 1-6 overall, 1-3 in the MAC East and 1-3 MAC overall. Falcons' head coach Gary
Blackney, who announced his resignation just over two weeks ago, concludes his BGSU career with a 6-4 record
versus Miami.
Miami's Mike Bath set a career single-game best with two rushing touchdowns. He scored on a 27-yard scamper
late in the third quarter and then scored the go-ahead score on a 1-yard keeper with 11:03 to play in the game. He
finished with 23 rushing yards.
Bowling Green's Kurt Gerling extended his consecutive reception string to 25 with a catch in the first quarter.
Prior to leaving the game with a hip flexor injury, Miami's Sly Johnson caught three passes for 43 yards and moved
into eighth place on the RedHawks' all-time receiving yardage list. He now has 1,455 career yards.
With the absence of Sly Johnson in the second half, sophomore Jason Branch finished with a career-high-tying four
catches for 38 yards.
Bowling Green running back/quarterback Josh Harris, a freshman, rushed for a team- and career-high 105 yards in
just his second appearance with the Falcons.
Miami punter Kent McCullough totaled seven punts for a season-high 47.1 yards per punt average. He booted a
season-long 62-yarder in the third quarter.
After losing 17 yards rushing in the first half, Miami finished with 141 yards rushing for the game-21 carries for 158
yards in the second half.
Keyed by a 51-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, Miami's Steve Little finished with a career-high 149 yards
on the afternoon.
The 10 points surrendered by the Miami defense were a season low.
