OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University junior place kicker Nathan Parseghian has been named the Mid-American Conference East Division Co-Special Teams Player of the Week.

Parseghian tied a Miami school record with five field goals in the RedHawks' 29-38 loss at Ohio on Saturday. The Sylvania, Ohio native connected on attempts of 22, 19, 38, 41 and 20 yards to tie the 20-year old school record held by Gary Gussman.

On the season, the graduate of Hargreave Military Academy is 12-of-17 on field goal attempts and is 2-for-2 on attempts of 40 yards or more.

He is also averaging 60.3 yards per kick off with three touchbacks.

The Miami RedHawks, the MAC-East Co-Champions, are 6-6 on the year (5-2 MAC) and will face Central Michigan on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich. in the MAC Championship Game with a bowl berth on the line.
