If you think that the action at Yager Stadium begins tomorrow night at 7:30, then you haven't experienced Miami's Tailgate Town! Beginning at 5:30 p.m., the field north of Yager will be the scene of ultimate pregame partying at its best. RedHawk fans of all ages can enjoy the sights and sounds of the giant 18-foot video board, live music, delicious food and interactive games.
Thursday's featured musical guest before the game in Tailgate Town is Robin Lacy. Lacy's ear-pleasing stylings include New Orleans Rhythm and Blues, Creole Fund, Blues & Zydeco and Louisiana-Style Rock `n Roll.
Pepsi is the game sponsor and will be giving away Diet Pepsi Max product to fans.
Throughout the game, lucky fans will have an opportunity to win numerous prizes ranging from Miami T-shirts to valuable gift certificates.
TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE FOR MIAMI-VANDERBILT BATTLE
Coach Shane Montgomery's Miami University football team is being picked as one of the favorites to win the Mid-American Conference East Division and single-game tickets for each of the six home games are on sale at the Athletic Ticket Office in Millett Hall. Fans can order season or single-game tickets by calling 1-866-MU-HAWKS (684-2957) or 529-HAWK, or on-line at www.MURedHawks.com. Tickets are priced at $20 for adult reserved, $15 for youth reserved, and $15 for Hawks Nest tickets (both adults and youth).
Vanderbilt, the first-ever Southeastern Conference opponent to come to Yager Stadium, opens up the 2008 schedule on Thursday night. Charleston Southern, Temple, Kent State, Ball State and Ohio make up the rest of the home schedule.
