WEST CHICAGO - Miami University junior wide receiver and punt returner Ryne Robinson has been selected as a third-team All-American punt returner by CollegeSportsReport.com. The nation's active career leader in punt return yardage, Robinson was selected along with first-team honoree Devin Hester of Miami (FL), second-team pick Ted Ginn of Ohio State and fourth-team honoree Reggie Bush of USC.

In just two seasons, Robinson has become the Miami and Mid-American Conference career leader in both punt return yardage and punt return touchdowns. The junior has returned 77 career punts for 1,201 yards, an impressive average of 15.6 yards per return, and taken five punts back for touchdowns. The reigning MAC Special Teams Player of the Year, Robinson is the only returning punt returner nationally with at least 1,000 career yards and is 560 yards shy of former Texas Tech standout Wes Welker's NCAA record of 1,761 punt return yards.

Also a talented wide receiver, Robinson led Miami in 2004 with 64 receptions for 932 yards. Last season, Robinson ranked 10th in the MAC in all-purpose yardage, averaging 123.5 yards per game.

Robinson and his RedHawk teammates report to camp on Sunday, Aug. 7, and begin a five-day acclimation period the following day.
