DETROIT, Mich. - Coach Michael Haywood's Miami RedHawks will move up in the Mid-American Conference football standings during the 2010 season, according to 20 MAC pollsters attending the annual Football Media Preview at Ford Field in Detroit.

Miami has been picked for fifth in the MAC East Division, behind Temple, Ohio, Kent State and Bowling Green, and ahead of Buffalo and Akron.

The media poll chose Northern Illinois to win the West Division, followed by Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Toledo, Ball State and Eastern Michigan.

Miami University's senior safety Jordan Gafford (Columbus) and sophomore quarterback Zac Dysert (Ada) have accompanied Haywood to Detroit for the annual MAC Media Day.

Beginning at 9 a.m. Friday, the MAC and JumpTV sports will stream the media preview live as part of the conference's All-MACess package. The MAC Football Media Preview and MAC Football Kickoff Luncheon will air live and both events will be available to the public as part of a free preview to the All-MACess package.
