Team Notes

- The loss ended Miami's six-game winning streak and prevented the Red and White from repeating as MAC Champions for the first time since 1973-75.

- The RedHawks now await word on a bowl bid, with the possible destinations including the Independence Bowl and the Silicon Valley Bowl.

Individual Notes

- Senior wide receiver Michael Larkin caught Miami's first pass of the contest to extend his NCAA-record streak to 49 consecutive games with a receptions. He added a go-ahead touchdown reception later in the first quarter and finished the game with nine catches for 131 yards. His nine receptions matched a career high, and he was named the MAC East MVP of the 2004 MAC Championship game.

- Senior safety Matt Pusateri became Miami's all-time leader in career unassisted tackles on the night, totaling 12 solo stops on the night and 306 for his career. The senior recorded 15 total tackles on the night and climbed to sixth on Miami's career tackle charts with 474 career stops.

- Josh Betts notched the fourth 300-yard passing game of his career, completing 20-of-33 passes for 304 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. He became just the second Miami quarterback to pass for 3,000 yards in his career, totaling 3,255 so far this season, and climbed to a fourth-place tie on Miami's single-season TD list with 22.

- Sophomore safety Frank Wiwo picked off a Bruce Gradkowski pass in the second quarter to stop a Toledo drive and preserve Miami's halftime lead. It was the first interception of Wiwo's career.

- Senior running back Luke Clemens tallied a rushing touchdown for the sixth straight game, giving him 12 on the season and moving him to 10th on Miami's single-season list. He finished with 69 yards rushing.

 

 

- Ryan Busing's leaping third-quarter TD grab was his first this season and third of his career.

- Josh Williams' 13-yard TD reception in the fourth quarter was his third this season and gave him TD receptions in the last two games.
