MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) - Ben Roethlisberger threw for 215 yards and two touchdowns to lead Miami to a 49-3 victory over Ball State on Saturday.

Miami (6-1, 3-0 Mid-American Conference) took early command of the game when John Busing scored a TD off a 65-yard interception return just minutes into the first quarter.

Talmadge Hill threw for 147 yards for Ball State (3-4, 2-1), but the Cardinals' only score was a 27-yard field goal by Brian Jackson.

Mike Smith, who entered the game as the MAC's leading scorer, rushed for 88 yards, including a 7-yard TD-run for the Redhawks.

Darrell Hunter scored a touchdown for Miami off a 64-yard interception return in the second quarter. Also scoring TDs for Miami were Ryan Busing, Matt Brandt, Cal Murray and Martin Nance.

Saturday's game was the 15th straight in which Roethlisberger has passed for more than 200 yards. He also has thrown 110 consecutive passes without an interception.
