OXFORD, Ohio (AP) -Chester Stewart threw three touchdown passes - two to Bruce Francis in the fourth quarter - to lead Temple to a 28-10 victory over Miami (Ohio) on Saturday.

Stewart completed just 11-of-23 passes for 178 yards, but hooked up with Steve Maneri for a 2-yard score in the second quarter before hitting Francis on 43- and 6-yard touchdown plays in a span of just over 2 minutes of the final period.

Kee-ay Griffin added a 25-yard touchdown run for the Owls (2-4, 1-2 Mid-American Conference).

Thomas Merriweather scored on a 2-yard run for Miami (1-4, 0-1), which also picked up points on Nathan Parseghian's 34-yard field goal.

The RedHawks fumbled the ball away three times and also had an interception. They mustered just 91 yards rushing on 39 attempts. Temple had four sacks for 38 yards in losses.

Griffin had 36 yards on six carries.

Miami's Clay Belton hit on 14-of-22 passes for 147 yards with one interception in relief of Daniel Raudabaugh, who hit on 8-of-18 for 65 yards.
