2001 Season
Had a break-out season for Miami, completing the year second on the team in both receiving yards (577) and receptions (43) ... tied for second on the team with five touchdown receptions ... ranked third in the MAC and 35th in the country, averaging 10.76 yards per punt return ... returned five punts for 124 yards vs. Buffalo, including an 80-yard return for a TD ... it was his third career punt return for a TD ... posted a career-high 132 yards receiving against Akron, including a 70-yard “Hail Mary” TD pass from Ben Roethlisberger as time expired ... set a school record, pulling in 12 passes (for 130 yards) at Hawai’i ... caught a pass in 10 of 12 games, including the last 10.
2000 Season
Named a second-team Verizon Academic All-American® ... ranked second on team with 39 receptions and 387 yards ... ranked 25th nationally and fourth in the MAC with a 12.2 yards per punt return average ... turned in a MAC-record-setting and NCAA-record-tying performance at Eastern Michigan (Sept. 9) ... set the league mark for punt return yardage in a game with 162 yards vs. the Eagles ... tied a I-A single-game record by scoring two TD’s on punt returns of 53 and 82 yards ... the 82-yarder was the third longest in Miami history ... first player in school history to return two punts for a TD in the same game ... also led RedHawks with four catches for a team-high 99 receiving yards—a career best—against the Eagles ... a personal-best 53-yard reception in the first quarter helped set up Miami’s second TD ... totaled 261 all-purpose yards in the game ... named the MAC’s Special Teams Player of the Week and the MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week for his effort ... 3.54 cumulative GPA in zoology ... season started on an inauspicious note, as he fumbled his first punt return, which led to Vanderbilt’s first touchdown ... regained his composure, however, and finished strong, catching five passes for 65 yards against the ‘Dores ... four of his five receptions came in the fourth quarter, including a 9-yard TD reception, which helped Miami pull within three at 23-20 ... against Ohio State, totaled a game-high six receptions for 52 yards ... grabbed a season-high seven passes for 56 yards vs. Kent State (Sept. 23) ... limited to one catch (for 6 yards) at Akron (Sept. 30) ... three receptions for 25 yards vs. Ball State (Oct. 7) ... equaled season high with seven catches for 37 yards against Bowling Green (Oct. 14) ... six grabs for 52 yards at Cincinnati (Oct. 28) ... failed to make a reception in last two games ... returned three punts for 60 yards at Marshall (Nov. 11).
1999 Season
Did not see action ... batted .143 for Miami’s 40-23 NCAA-qualifying baseball team ... played in 23 games and had no errors as an outfielder.
1998 Season
Redshirted ... played in 15 baseball games and batted .154 ... used as a pinch-runner and late-inning defensive replacement in the outfield.
