SCOUTING REPORT: He should challenge for playing time at tailback as a true freshman.

2011: Played in all 12 games for the RedHawks, catching 20 passes for 424 yards and two touchdowns ... became the fastest player in Miami history to record two 100-yard receiving games, doing so in his eighth career game ... also ran the ball seven times for 30 yards and returned 14 kicks for 270 yards ... his 71-yard reception against Buffalo was tied for the longest Miami reception of the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Coached by Bob Hanna, Dawan is the teammate of fellow RedHawk recruit David Frazier ... in one game last season, Scott rushed 30 times for 295 yards and three touchdowns ... 2010 season statistics showed him with 2,285 yards (9.2 ypa, 212 ypg) with 33 touchdowns ... an all-region and all-state running back, he was named Offensive MVP in last December's North-South All-Star Football game ... as a three-time letter winner for Irmo's track and field squad, he had best times of :10.9 for 100 meters and :22.6 for 200 meters.
