Center Grove was Indiana's 5A state champion in 2008, rallying from three TDs down in the last six minutes (14-1 record) ... regional champs in 2009 (11-4) ... also lettered in basketball ... he had a 4.1 grade-point average in high school and ranked ninth in his class ... an academic all-state selection and a four-time academic all-conference honoree ... he had a perfect score in his ACT math section.
