SCOUTING REPORT: Selected as team co-captain in August ... after day three of spring drills, Zac showed coaches that he was ready to rejoin the battle with Austin Boucher for starting duty at quarterback ... together in 2010, they helped Miami pass for a MAC best 3,552 yards (254 yards per game) ... he's one of the MAC's most experienced signal callers, having been a starter for most of the past two seasons ... he has a very good pocket presence and doesn't seem to get flustered ... possesses excellent field vision and finds the open receiver most of the time ... a tremendous thrower from short and mid range, he can also throw the long ball ... underrated as a runner.

CAREER NOTES: Of the top eight all-time Miami passing performances, he has two of them (426 yards vs. Temple in 2009 and 399 vs. CMU in 2010) ... he now has 5,017 career passing yards, sixth-best on Miami's all-time top ten ... just ahead of him on that list is former teammate Daniel Raudabaugh with 5,352 yards ... Zac's .630 career completion percentage is second only to Ben Roethlisberger's .655 ... in 19 career starts, he's averaged 260 passing yards per game ... of Miami's top ten single-game total offense yardage leaders, he has the seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth-best outings. 2011: Started in Miami's opener at Missouri, marking his first appearance at quarterback since suffering a lacerated spleen at Bowling Green in 2010 ... completed 26-of-39 passes for 194 total yards against the Tigers.

2010: Started the first 10 games of the season before being knocked out of the lineup against Bowling Green when he suffered a lacerated spleen ... he made it back for the GoDaddy.com Bowl, serving as holder for placekicks ... completed 64.7 percent of his passes (222-for-343) for 2,406 yards, an average of 240.6 per start, ranking fourth among MAC QBs ... he had 13 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions ... his 399-yard effort at CMU (29-for-47) tied for the seventh-best single-game performance in Miami history. One of his three TD passes that day was a game-winning 71-yarder to Andy Cruse with just 19 seconds left in regulation. Zac attempted 401 passes as compared to Bowling Green's Tyler Sheehan (575 attempts for 311.6 yards per game), Western Michigan's Tim Hiller (514 atts. for 270.8 ypg) and Central Michigan's Dan LeFevour (456 atts. for 245.6 ypg). Dysert is the only one of the four QBs who returns in 2010 ... the MAC's best redshirt freshman threw for 2,611 yards in 2009 ... he had a career-best performance at Temple, passing for 426 yards and three touchdowns on 31-of-51 tosses. His single-game yardage was the fourth-best all-time effort in Miami history, behind Ben Roethlisberger's top-three games as a RedHawk (525 yards, 452 yards and 440 yards) ...
