SCOUTING REPORT: The incoming freshman will be initially thrown into competition at defensive halfback where Dayonne Nunley is the starter.

2011: Played in nine games his freshman year on both sides of the ball, recording four tackles and rushing 30 times for 97 yards ... made his debut against Cincinnati (Oct. 1), rushing five times for 18 yards.

HIGH SCHOOL: Coached by Jerry Leonard, the 2010 Spartans were ranked No. 1 in Louisiana for eight weeks, earning a 9-2 record and a berth in the state regionals ... Salmen High's 2008 and `09 squads were both state semifinalists and both compiled 10-3 records ... Dupuy was an all-metro New Orleans pick and honorable mention all-state ... a three-time first-team alldistrict ... he won the Wendy's High School Heisman Award, was Special Teams Player of the Year, and the Class 4A Regional Powerlifter Champion ... chosen as his team's most relentless player ... as a senior he posted 67 tackles and had a school-record 102-yard kickoff return ... all five of his career interceptions resulted in touchdowns ... a four-time track letter winner, he has times of :11.25 in 100 meters and 21.19 in 200 meters ... was an honor roll member all four years of high school.
