HIGH SCHOOL: Totaled 190 tackles and 13 sacks in his final two seasons at Southwest Dekalb ... earned honorable mention honors from the Atlanta Journal Constitution for Class AAAA ... received all-county honors on both offense and defense and was voted as the Best All-Around Player by his teammates ... captain of the football and track teams ... 2007 state champion in the shot put (59 feet) and state runner-up in the discus, leading his team to the AAAA state title ... graduated from high school with a 3.58 GPA ... prep coach was Buck Godfrey.
