2007: Began season as Miami's starting placekicker, but was relegated to back-up duty midway through the year ... made five of his 10 field-goal attempts, all within the 40-yard line ... a 36-yard game-tying field goal with just 11 seconds left in game two at Minnesota was his longest of 2007 ... was 8-of-9 on PATs ... in the last 1:19 at Temple, he gave the RedHawks a chance to win the game by kicking three straight on-siders that were recovered by Miami.
2006: Began his freshman campaign by handling kickoffs only but earned placekicking duties shortly thereafter by connecting on his first collegiate attempt, a 49-yard field goal at Cincinnati ... hit his first six attempts of the year, winding up 10-of-13 ... also connected on 17-of-18 PATs.
HIGH SCHOOL: Led Washington High to a 25-7 record in three years, including two state quarterfinal appearances and one berth in the semifinals ... in 2006, he became the first kicker ever selected to the South Dakota All-Star Team ... earned all-state and all-conference accolades, both athletically and academically ... had a career-long 56-yard field goal ... lettered three years in football and four years in soccer ... made 94 percent of his career PATs and 77 percent of his career kickoffs went for touchbacks ... prep coach was Kim Nelson.
