SCOUTING REPORT: Enters 2011 fall drills in a deadlock for starting duty at quarterback with Zac Dysert ... coaches call him "one of those guys who just finds a way to get the job done" ... the left-handed QB possesses a great presence on the field ... he's a natural leader who has a tremendous competitive spirit ... really improved himself during spring drills as an in-the-pocket passer ... throws the ball extremely well on the run ... as a successful player at every level he's played, his confidence rubs off on the guys around him.

2011: Appeared in five games under center for Miami ... attempted 10 passes, completing six including one for a touchdown.

2010: Boucher stepped in as Miami's QB starter in game 11, leading the RedHawks to four consecutive victories at Akron, vs. Temple, vs. Northern Illinois (MAC Championship Game) and vs. Middle Tennessee State (GoDaddy.com Bowl) ... in those four victories, he completed 62.4 percent of his 141 passes for 990 yards and five touchdowns ... in the last two games against NIU and MTSU, Boucher averaged 311 yards passing ... his final two passes in the MAC title game vs. NIU saw him complete a 31-yard pass in a fourth-and-20 situation, then a 33-yard touchdown for the winning score ... he earned game MVP honors in the bowl contest at Mobile ... in seven games played in 2010, he completed 99-of-155 passes (.639) for 1,120 yards and six touchdowns.

2009: Redshirted ... recorded a perfect 4.0 grade-point average during the 2009 fall semester.

HIGH SCHOOL: Ohio's 2008 Division IV Player of the Year and a first-team all-state selection ... the Alter High football team was a perfect 30-0 in regular-season play and was Ohio's 2008 state champion (15-0) ... as a senior, he passed for 1,900 yards and rushed for nearly 900 yards ... he threw 22 touchdown passes and had 15 rushing TDs ... also was a two-time captain for Alter's basketball team ... a four-year member of the Honor Roll ... prep football coach was Ed Domsitz.

PERSONAL: Born March 21, 1990 ... son of Richard and Lisa Boucher... Austin's twin brother, Collin, is a redshirt freshman linebacker at Miami ... grandfather, Roy Boucher, played tennis at Michigan ... with a cumulative GPA of 3.4, Austin majors in finance at Miami.
