Men's Basketball Unveils Complete Schedule

2010-11 Miami Men's Basketball Schedule

OXFORD, Ohio--Earlier Miami University's men's basketball program announced a thrilling non-conference schedule. The RedHawks unveil their complete 2010-11 regular-season schedule with the announcement of their Mid-American Conference games.

Highlighting the schedule are an unprecedented 16 regular-season home games for the program.

In addition to its non-conference schedule, which includes home games with Towson, IUPUI, Green Bay, San Diego State, Xavier, Saginaw Valley State, Troy and Cincinnati and road games at Duke, Ohio State, Dayton, Wright State, Belmont and Kansas, Miami will play a 16-game MAC schedule.

The RedHawks open and close the MAC season with defending MAC Tournament Champion Ohio in the Battle of the Bricks, the most-contested series of any in program history. The RedHawks play at Ohio on Sunday, Jan. 9 to open MAC play and will close the season at home against the Bobcats. The game is scheduled for Saturday, March 5 but could be moved to Friday, March 4 to be televised on one of the ESPN networks. A date change would be announced in early February.

Miami's home conference opener is against Buffalo on Thursday, Jan. 13. The RedHawks hit the road to battle Bowling Green on Sunday, Jan. 16 before returning home to host Akron on Wednesday, Jan. 19. A pair of road games at Kent State (Sunday, Jan. 23) and at Central Michigan (Thursday, Jan. 27) are up next for Miami. The RedHawks then return home to host Western Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 29 and Ball State on Tuesday, Feb. 1.

On Saturday, Feb. 5, Miami travels to Eastern Michigan and rounds out its stretch against the MAC West Division at home with Northern Illinois on Wednesday, Feb. 9 and at Toledo on Saturday, Feb. 12. Miami resumes play against the MAC East Division on Wednesday, Feb. 16, hosting Kent State, and takes a brief break from conference play to take part in the ESPN BracketBuster on Saturday, Feb. 19. The RedHawks are a road team for the BracketBuster. Pairings will be announced in early February.

Conference play picks back up for the RedHawks when they travel to Akron for a Wednesday, Feb. 23 tilt. Miami hosts Bowling Green on Saturday, Feb. 26 and then makes the trek to Buffalo for a game on Wednesday, March 2 before returning home to host Ohio in the regular-season finale.

Season tickets can be purchased by visiting the Miami University Athletic Ticket Office or by calling 1-866-MUHAWKS or 513-529-HAWK. Additional ticket packages and single-game ticket information will be announced at a later time.

For the Nov. 26 game at Ohio State, season ticket holders may purchase an equivalent number of tickets to their 2010-11 season tickets. Red & White Club members may purchase tickets based on the following: Active Member-$249 = maximum of two tickets; $250-$999 = maximum of four tickets; $1,000-$2,499 = maximum of six tickets; $2,500 and above = maximum of eight tickets. Ticket requests should be made either based on Red & White Club giving levels or on number of season tickets purchased, not a combination of the two. Quantities will be filled in the above fashion on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

The Red & White Club is the official membership organization that supports Miami University Athletics' annual scholarship needs. Active membership begins at $100 each year. Gifts to the Red & White Club go directly into the Red & White Club Scholarship Fund, which annually provides scholarship assistance to varsity sports programs at Miami.
