CLEVELAND - Miami University senior guard Doug Davis (Columbus, Ohio/Westland) earned honorable mention all-MAC accolades as voted by the 13 Mid-American Conference men's basketball head coaches, the league office announced Wednesday morning.
This season, Davis has been a force on the court in league action for the RedHawks, averaging a team-best 15.1 ppg in league play. Davis produced his seventh 20-point scoring effort of the season-all of which have come in MAC action-with a career-best 26 points against Kent State. He opened the MAC season with 21 points at Western Michigan, and collected 20 points against Akron, Eastern Michigan and Northern Illinois, 21 points versus Ball State and 25 against Ohio. He has scored in double figures in all but four league games this season. For the season, Davis averages 12.3 ppg and dishes out 3.0 assists per game.
