OXFORD, Ohio--For the fourth consecutive year, Miami University's men's basketball team will face a member of the Missouri Valley Conference in conjunction with the O'Reilly ESPNU Bracket Buster event. The RedHawks are slated to play at Indiana State at 2:05 p.m. (ET) on Saturday, Feb. 17.
Miami has been successful in its Bracket Buster games, posting wins against Missouri State (75-66) in 2004, Wichita State (65-58) in 2005 and Illinois State (51-49) last year. This, however, is the first year the RedHawks are on the road for their game in conjunction with the Bracket Buster.
The RedHawks and Sycamores have met on five other occasions in the series history with Indiana State holding a 4-1 record against Miami. The last time the teams met was at the Puerto Rico Shootout on Nov. 25, 2000, with the Sycamores posting a 54-46 win.
Indiana State owns an 11-9 overall record and a 4-6 mark in MVC action. The RedHawks are 8-11 overall and 4-3 in Mid-American Conference play.
