OXFORD, Ohio (AP) - Danny Horace scored 18 points, including a basket and free throw to put the game out of reach with 13 seconds left, to lead Miami University to a 58-56 victory over Ball State on Saturday.

Juby Johnson added 14 points for Miami (7-9, 5-2 MAC). Matt McCollom had 16 points and Cameron Echols 15 for Ball State (7-10, 2-5).

Ball State led most of the first half and was up 29-28 at halftime. But the RedHawks put together an 8-5 run on a pair of 3-pointers by Josh Hausfeld and a jumper by Johnson to take the lead for good at 14:06.

Ball State narrowed the margin to two on a layup by Kevin Cates with 1:15 left. But a dunk and free throw by Horace put the game beyond the reach of McCollom's three free throws with nine seconds remaining.

Miami has won the past four games between the two teams on the RedHawks' home court by a total of eight points.
