General:
Has played basketball for just five years ... following a two-year prep career at Springboro High School, continued to hone his skills at IMG Academy.
2008-09: Played in six games ... saw his first action of the season at Temple (12/3) ... also played against Northwestern State (12/6), UW-Milwaukee (12/11), Northern Illinois (1/28), Ball State (2/4) and at Ohio (2/26) ... scored his first points of the season against Northwestern State when he went 1-for-2 from the floor ... played a career-most four minutes against Northern Illinois where he grabbed his first career rebound and recorded his first career steal ... knocked down a career-best four points at Ohio when he hit his lone field-goal attempt and was 2-for-2 from the line.
2007-08: Redshirted.
Prior to Miami: Spent one year at IMG Academy ... averaged 18.0 ppg, 8.5 rpg and shot 48 percent from the field and 50 percent from 3-point range at IMG Academy.
High School: Played two years at Springboro High School ... helped Springboro to an MML title as a senior in 2005-06 ... earned second-team all-MML honors as a senior ... also garnered all-Southwest Ohio honorable mention accolades.
Personal: Son of Dan and Gail Thomas ... father, Dan, is a Miami University graduate and a member of the men's basketball team during the 1972-73 season ... majoring in business.
