OXFORD, Ohio - For a second straight day, heavy rains have forced Miami baseball to postpone its Red & White Series, as the RedHawks were scheduled to play a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. Friday. Thursday’s game was postponed due to rain, as well, setting up Friday’s scheduled double-dip.

Miami will now attempt to play a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. at McKie Field at Hayden Park, weather permitting. Due to the weather, the best-of-five series has been shortened to four games, if the weather allows both of Saturday’s games to be played. The second half of the intrasquad twin bill will begin approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the first game (game three of the Red & White Series).

The Red Team won both games against the White Team last weekend to lead the series 2-0.

Check back with MURedHawks.com for the latest updates regarding Saturday’s scheduled doubleheader and any changes that may take place due to the weather.
