AVON PARK, Fla. -
The Miami University baseball team’s game against Sacred Heart, scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at South Florida Community College, has been cancelled due to heavy rains in Florida, head coach Dan Simonds announced. The game will not be made up.
The RedHawks (5-7) also had Thursday’s second game of a doubleheader against Fairfield rained out because of torrential rains and had the first game against Rhode Island shortened to six innings because of the weather, but Miami was ahead 4-3 when the game was called, giving them the win—its third straight victory (all in Florida).
The ’Hawks are scheduled to wrap up their spring break trip at the RussMatt Invitational in Florida on Saturday at 10 a.m. against North Dakota State at Chain of Lakes Stadium in Winter Haven, Fla.
