  • Game Notes vs. Arkansas

    FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. (March 4, 2000) - Miami University's baseball team absorbed its first loss off the season Saturday afternoon, falling 15-5 at Southeastern Conference foe Arkansas.

    The RedHawks led the contest 3-2 entering the middle of the fourth inning, but Arkansas exploded for six runs in the bottom of the inning and never looked back. Billy Kieninger absorbed the loss for Miami, which fell to 2-1 on the season. Clark Mace led the 'Hawks with two hits and a home run. Brady Nori tallied two extra-base hits and two runs for Miami.

    Arkansas, which improved to 8-6 on the season, was led by Jack Welsh, who was 4-for-5 with three RBIs and three runs. Gary Hogan earned the win for the Razorbacks.

    The two teams take to the field again Sunday afternoon for a 2 p.m. (CST) start.
