Box Score

The Miami baseball team dropped its fourth straight Monday, losing to Lehigh, 10-4 in a darkness-shortened game at the IMG Academy in Bradenton. Senior David Cook provided the RedHawks with a bright spot, going 3-for-4 in the game to raise his batting average to .294.

After getting out to a 1-0 lead in the third on a John Slone sacrifice fly, the Mountain Hawks reeled off three straight runs and never looked back. Twice the RedHawks cut the lead to two, but were never able to get closer. Senior outfielder Michael Carlin was the only other RedHawk with multiple hits, going 2-for-3.

Freshman Graham Taylor, making his first collegiate start, pitched 6.2 innings, giving up six runs, only four of which were earned, and striking out six.

Miami (3-6) continues its seven-game Florida swing with a single game tomorrow vs. Yale at 10:30 a.m. Miami's exhibition game versus the Cincinnati Reds, which was scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled.
