Played for the Hamilton Joes of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League ... named to the All-Star Game as a starter at first base ... only Joe to start all 35 games during the summer, batting .275 (second on the team) with team bests of 10 doubles, four home runs, 58 total bases, a .443 slugging percentage, 22 RBI and 36 hits ... ranked in the top five in the league in home runs (4), doubles (10) and total bases (58) ... scored 18 runs (second on the team) and had an on-base percentage of .331 ... made just two errors all summer (171 chances) for a .988 fielding percentage.
2009
Played in 19 games, starting three ... hit .091, going just 2-for-22 at the plate, recording a double April 18 vs. Buffalo ... tallied a pair of runs and a pair of RBI ... earned five walks to help his .250 on-base percentage ... had a .944 fielding percentage, making just one error in 18 chances.
2008
Appeared in 15 games for the RedHawks, making six starts all as a designated hitter ... picked up his first collegiate hit on April 27 against Bowling Green ... drove in nine runs on 12 hits, posting a .364 batting average ... earned a .400 on-base percentage and a .394 slugging percentage.
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2007 all-conference selection and a four-time baseball letterwinner at Mason High School ... as a junior, part of a Mason team that won its first district title ... hit over .400 during junior and senior seasons, including 40 RBI during senior campaign.
